About Us

The idea for organizing the conference "From Hand to Mouth" originated in a small circle of young academics belonging to the Zurich Competence Centre for Linguistics (Zürcher Kompetenzzenstrums Linguistik, ZüKL) of the University of Zurich. The initial discussions in spring, 2011, were quickly followed by the formation of a seven person organizing committee. This committee is supported by two student assistants who will be taking care of the numerous small details necessarily involved in such a conference. These assistants will be the contact persons for participants in the conference office from March 2013 as well as during the conference in September.
